Birthday's on a Budget- Part 1

Every parent wants their child to have a great birthday. Some people do small family get togethers and some people go all out and spare nothing. For instance, it's rumored that Tom Cruise spent $100,000 on Suri's star- studded second birthday party! So unless you are Tom Cruise, you probably aren't looking to do it for that much. Since my baby's birthday is coming up, I thought I would write up a couple posts on getting through it on a budget.

For the first installment let's talk GIFTS!
Now Nathan's birthday is in February. In my opinion that is a great time for a birthday when it comes to getting toys on sale!!!! There are great after Christmas sales in January. Target has their annual 75% off toy sale in mid-late January. I scored a fantastic deal this year! This was originally $24.99 marked down to $6.24! Pretty good deal! Also look for toy coupons! Hasbro put out some great coupons around Christmas time and again in February. Use those coupons to score great deals on clearance items! Shopping for your child's birthday shouldn't cost an arm and a leg.

Another cool gift idea is a Cookie Surprise! (See them in the sidebar?!) There cookies are reasonably priced and you know I have a coupon code for you! If you purchase 1 of their birthday cookies and use the code BIRTHDAY they will throw in some extra fun birthday packaging! I was excited to see the safari animals in their collection too! So now I want to know, how do you give gifts on a budget?
